Trusted Word was a free directory site that operated with one single, simple goal: making the client’s life easier. The site believed that the “yellow pages were inefficient” and an outdated way of getting the information people need. It allowed users to search through the recommendations of other site users in their area for professionals who provided different specialized services.
Doctors, dentists, hair stylists, handymen, plumbers, and more could all be recommended and searched using the site. It was an excellent way for all people form a community to share their opinions and their special contacts and service recommendations. Members of the site could invite friends to join the site and write recommendations and reviews. When an invited friend accepted the invitation, the invitee could then read those recommendations and the recommendations of other related friends. Results could be sorted by how well the user “trusted” the opinions of others, hence its name.
